Cavalier gave flowers? Or do you have a holiday, and colleagues presented a beautiful bouquet? It would be desirable as long as possible to preserve these beautiful flowers and their fragrance. There are a few secrets of how to do it.
1. Use warm water. Fresh cut flowers are the best placed in a vase with water at room temperature. Cold water is absorbed worse than stems.
2. Use the preservative. Special preservatives extends the life of cut flowers sold in flower shops, they need to be added to the water. But you can make your own hands, and a preservative. This requires two ingredients: sugar and vinegar. Sugar feeds and vinegar prevents the growth of bacteria. Per liter of water you need just a couple of drops of vinegar and a pinch of sugar.
3. Bleach. Its also possible to use as an antibacterial component. It prevents the growth of bacteria. Per liter you need only a quarter of a teaspoon of liquid bleach. The flowers stay fresh longer.
4. Change the water regularly. Every few days, because the stems isolated elements that contribute to decay and bacterial growth.
5. Trim the stems at an angle. This allows the stems to absorb water more easily.
6. The color should not be crowded. Too many colors in one vase can be detrimental to them. Flowers need to breathe, to stand in a vase freely around each flower has to circulate the air.
7. Trim the morning or evening. If you grow flowers in the country or at home and you slice them yourself, then do it better at certain times. Or early in the morning or late in the evening. Never cut flowers during the heat of the day, a bunch of long outages.
