Put aside the anti-wrinkle creams and eat an orange instead. Power, enriched with vitamin C, helps skin stay supple and wrinkle-free.
American scientists studied 4025 middle-aged women, comparing their signs of skin aging and nutrition.
Study participants who ate more vitamin C and linoleic acid (unsaturated fatty acid) showed fewer signs of skin aging.
Consumption of large amounts of vitamin C affects the skin in the form of fewer wrinkles and greater skin hydration. As a result of increasing consumption of linoleic acid skin gets more hydration, reduced atrophy of the skin (the skin becomes thinner as a result of loss of collagen).
On the other hand, the food on the basis of fats and carbohydrates increases the signs of skin aging.
The study notes that the good results were observed where there was a high intake of vitamin C and linoleic acid at the expense of food, rather than through vitamin supplements. That is, it makes sense to include foods rich in these ingredients every day, throughout the day.
Increase the intake of vitamin C is necessary not only because of the citrus and strawberry. Pay attention to tropical fruits such as guava, kiwi, papaya. Regarding linoleic acid, it can be found in nuts, flaxseed, tofu, broccoli and cabbage.
