Almost all working women are experiencing the afternoon tiredness and lethargy. And of course, there is only one: caffeine and sugar. It helps us become more energetic (and a chatty). However, the effect does not last more than 15 minutes. A nutritionist Lauren Slayton, nutrition consultant in New York, advises how to revise its power to save energy during the day.
Tips Lauren Slayton:
- Eat small portions. All that the body wants after a hearty lunch - a siesta. Therefore, instead of lunch calorie 500 calories, try eating small portions of 20 or 300 calories. This will help keep your metabolism and maintain blood sugar levels. So, divide your hearty meal for two and take the first part of 12-30, and the second - half of the fourth.
- Take care of the gland. "Whenever customers are saying that they have a low energy level, I assume that they eat foods that are low in iron and protein," - says Loren.
