 Knowledge of a foreign language opens up before man set of bright prospects. This new and interesting work, and exciting trips abroad, during which you can fully communicate with people in other countries and continents. This is especially true of the English language, which is a recognized means of international communication. For solid knowledge of many Muscovites come to the language center OK-Centre, which this year marks the one year. We asked representatives of the center to answer our questions.
- How was this year for the OK-Centre? What are your plans next?
- Successfully. There was a lot of work. Meetings with interesting, enthusiastic English people, many of whom have expressed a desire to continue their studies in the next academic year. Letting our young students of the Unified State Examination (USE) - excellent results and thanks to the parents. Students, visit our Language Centre, improved their grades and become more confident feel in the English lessons at school. As for the plans, they have not changed - the work and development.
- Now a lot of companies that offer foreign language study. What are your benefits?
- First of all, our teaching staff and teaching methods. We employ professionals, people with language education, experience, enthusiastic people with good language practice, energetic, friendly, owning the methods of teaching, so the classes are so easily and with a good result.
Often we are approached by people who are learning English for years, have a good vocabulary, understand the content of the text read and well versed in grammar, but do not say.
Our task - to speak the language, to overcome the so-called language barrier. We achieve this thanks to the skills of teachers and methodology.
The role of the teacher in the learning process is very high. To make the classes really exciting, it has to constantly apply the most varied types of learning activities take on different roles: teacher, organizer of communication, a speaker, an opponent in discussions etc.
Classes are held in small groups of 4-5 people, allowing each of the activity often say new words, to practice in the use of speech and grammatical structures, to participate in all conversations, to express their opinion on the topic being studied. The use of the native language in our classrooms is not desirable, and sometimes even prohibited. To explain the meaning of new vocabulary designs appeal to the already known words and expressions to the photos and drawings, gestures and facial expressions. It helps the songs, TV shows, newspapers, magazines and even comic books, so students are gradually immersed in the culture of the country whose language they are studying.
- How is set in the group? At what time classes?
- Groups are recruited according to the level and age of students is conducted mandatory testing. For each group, according to the textbook chosen not only to the level of training, but also the age of the students. Successfully working group from Elementary to Upper-Intermediate.
