For those of you who are not familiar with the line Aqua Allegoria by Guerlain: she can be declared a "solemn level" Guerlains. Lin suggests "exemplary nature" and has a lighter, Youth and simple composition, rather than the usual series of perfumes.
Over the past few years it has been released two new fragrances of Aqua Allegoria, production of which has been closed for a while. There are some my favorite perfume (Herba Fresca, Anisia Bella, Mandarine Basilic), and I feel some anger at the fact that a few years they were invalid. News 2008: Figue Iris and Laurier Réglisse.
Aqua Allegoria Figue Iris created by perfumer Jean-Paul Guerlain. My first feeling was his denial: I love figs and I like toffee, but their combination is absolutely not impressed me. Perfume opens sparkling burst of grapefruit, pretty sharp and summer, and those few minutes when juicy figs comes into play, I just love (notes of bergamot, grapefruit, violet, iris, figs, dairy notes, woody accords, vetiver and vanilla). Unfortunately, heavy: Peach scene is not the last - it is mainly focused on the iris, which comes very slowly, but at the same time greatly. Eventually, we get an average sweet floral scent with a creamy fig and light toffee overtones. Initially, vanilla tender, but over time it becomes much rougher. This is not my option, and someone may also be disappointed in fig notes, but in general, the aroma is very well laid out and has a very pleasant final stage.
Aqua Allegoria Laurier Réglisse, developed by perfumer Marie Salamagne, also belongs to the series of Aqua Allegoria this year. This is a bright, citrusy flavor with lots of green, herbal chords. As Figue Iris, it is quite sharp and juicy at the initial stage. Licorice strong only in the first, but its effect is felt for a long time, it ensures the development of the whole flavor (notes of bergamot, orange blossom, licorice, bay leaf, violet, galbanum and amber) and a woody-musky base is very natural to the end. Laurier Réglisse closer to the unisex, than Figue Iris. I would also like to note that the flavor is quite unstable.
Despite the fact that I did not quite like Iris Figue, objectively assessing (yes, again, from my point of view), I think this is the best version of Aqua Allegoria, which is worth paying attention to, since 2004.
