 If «Chanel No. 5 "- is Marilyn Monroe, and« Arpège »- this is Norma Shearer, then« Balenciaga Le Dix »- this is Gene Tierney, fresh, invigorating, beautiful and down to earth. «Le Dix» is an aldehyde-floral scent that fits on a weekday, filled with intelligent conversation and not too intense intrigue.
Aroma «Le Dix» was created in 1947 and was named after the street on which the fashion house «Balenciaga» in Paris. «Le Dix» appeared in the same year, together with Christian Dior «Miss Dior», and the flavors differ as much as their creators. Surprisingly, the house produces very feminine clothes, - Dior - presented the most unusual flavor. On the other hand, Balenciaga - a brand known for its unusual clothes, presented a very traditional flavor. (I know that in the late 40's - early 50-ies to wear Dior, you should have a waist and to wear Balenciaga, you had to have a personality).
Perfume Osmoz portal indicates that the scent of «Le Dix» includes top notes of bergamot scent, lemon, peach and coriander. In his heart settled notes of rose, lily of the valley, lilac, and orris. And at the heart of the fragrance are notes of vetiver, sandalwood, tonka bean and Peru balsam. I did not notice the smell in these notes of violets, but I must say that the difference in the flavor of «Le Dix» aldehyde and violet notes. Remaining flavor «Le Dix» exceptionally juicy and wood. It reminded me of the flavor «Chanel Bois des Iles». The overall feel of the fragrance is very similar to the new Piguet Baghari.
For several years I had a bottle of eau de toilette «Le Dix». Most of all, I used it in the spring and summer and, mainly, with blouses and dresses that I had ironed. There was something attractive in this combination: aroma «Le Dix» and stiffness ironed cotton. By the time my dress myalos and lipstick smeared, «Le Dix», too, began to "relax", manifesting scents of sandalwood and tonka bean. Eau de toilette has a moderate residual force, and perhaps will not attract people in the next room.
