Experts predict growth even cosmetic market in India in the next 2010-2012. In addition, it is assumed wider access traditional Indian cosmetics on the European market, so that it can soon be expected in the Russian shelves.
Cosmetics in India are traditionally small, but growing generation of young and "advanced" women and men, which is calculated and producers coming today to the Indian cosmetics market.
Some of the factors for the growth of the experts call such as:
• The growing popularity around the world herbal cosmetics, which is traditional for India.
• The growing film industry "warms up" an interest in this area. The role of television and the media, thanks to which the Indians are increasingly want to look good and as Europeans.
• Average consumer spending on cosmetic products in India is much lower than in any other part of the world. Experts note that it makes a significant potential for growth in consumption in the future.
• Indian women were very receptive to such a totally new segment for itself as a spa and salon treatments. So the number of salons and clinics will also grow.
However, producers must not forget that the price acceptable for the average Indian woman is much more modest those in which we buy cosmetics. So those who have come today to the market, will have to develop original and acceptable solution for the consumer price.
And another trend: the Indian producers previously targeted only to the domestic market, "the light of day." Indian cosmetics herbs has a huge demand on the international market. In recent years, more and more Indian manufacturers receive orders from Western productions or launch joint production line of a typical Indian cosmetics. Ecological boom that swept the industry stirs interest in natural cosmetics. Therefore, it is possible that in the near future and we will be on the shelves of many available and modern cosmetics from India.
