   Besides that, Clover has long been used for medicinal purposes . Grass and clover flowers contain: vitamins B, C, carotene, coumarin, salicylic acid, resins, essential oils, alkaloids. For medicinal purposes clover blossoms are harvested by gently cutting knife with the upper leaves during full bloom.

Preparations of clover have antiseptic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, wound healing, expectorant, emollient, astringent and diuretic properties.

Traditional medicine uses it for colds, coughs, bronchitis, whooping cough, pneumonia, painful periods, urolithiasis, bronchial asthma, anemia, scrofula, gastritis, colitis, cholecystitis, diathesis, tinnitus, high-pressure, headache, dizziness and atherosclerosis.
