First place went to (a) Karina, 25-year-old model from the western financial hub of Mumbai, the second was (a) 23-year-old Roma, a beautician from the northeastern state of Manipur. Local favorite Padmini, 25, a dance instructor, was (a) third.

Organizers of the show say that the broad debate about transgender issues, which was developed in Indian society, should help to solve many of their problems. Winners are also selected in the categories "best hair", "best smile" and others.

And we can only say that "girls" - certainly not the ideal beauty, but look quite happy and confident.
