 That question puzzled some scientists studying the life of microorganisms. They believe that if the particles are nano-silver, nano-copper and other metals fall into the wild, it can hurt the most micro-organisms that inhabit the planet.
The question is, how nanoparticles in cosmetics fall ENVIRONMENT. But that researchers have a very simple answer: the particles fall into the open water, where swimming people using nanokosmetika with their bodies they can get into nature. Also, nanoparticles can penetrate the waters of the drain water, we all wash and take a shower.
So far, scientists have found out (in the laboratory), that the life of micro-organisms living in these waters, in danger. There is also an opinion that over time, these particles will influence the life of fish and other more tangible things.
But already made a concrete offer from the University of Toledo researchers. It has been proposed to improve the water treatment plant, in order to minimize penetration of the nanoparticles in cosmetics environment.
