From 18 to 21 September 2012 in Moscow in Expocentre on Krasnaya Presnya hosted the international specialized exhibition "Barbecue Expo 2012" - Russia's first exhibition of equipment, supplies, tools and accessories for barbecue, grilling, barbecue, as well as the whole complex of related products for outdoor recreation.
The exhibition "Barbecue Expo" organized by Russia's largest exhibition company "Euroexpo" with the support of the Russian Association of BBQ, as well as with the active participation of the Association of producers of goods for BBQ (BIAG, Germany).

It held on 18 September at the open area near Pav.№5. Honorable guests of the opening: Yushin Sergey E., the head of the executive committee of the National Meat Association of Russia, Konstantinov Aleksandr Petrovich - President of the Ukrainian Association Barbecue, Yengoyan Artem Vartanovich - president of the Russian Association Barbecue, Elmar Fetscher - chief editor of Fire & Food, Strigun Mikhail Petrovich - director of the organization of exhibitions "Euroexpo" and Shabardina Elena Dmitrievna - Head of the guest exhibition "Expocentre".

The exhibition this year attracted more than 100 companies from different parts of Russia.
In preparation for the exhibition a personal invitation to visit the exhibition received more than 100 thousand. Experts - representatives of wholesale and retail trade, public catering establishments (restaurants, cafes, catering) as well as private consumers.
The exhibition in the open area near the Pav.№5 held extensive program of activities, which will provide participants and visitors a unique opportunity to see and appreciate all the variety of products for barbecue, grilling and barbecue, as well as visit the workshops of famous gurus. Wine tastings, presentations and news barbecue - all this for the first time in Russia!

The most anticipated event of the exhibition and bright EKSPO'2012 BBQ food festival became BEST OF THE BEST BBQ RUSSIA, which was held with the active support of the Russian Association Barbecue and its president Artem Vartanovich Yengoyan.
To participate in the contest were invited six of the best in Russia grill bosses:
1. Sergey Anikin, brand-chef restaurant chain "Cafe Uncle Sam", a member of the Russian National Council of Culinary Chefs Guild;
2. Igal Gorelik, the chef of the restaurant "Cafe Blanc", a member of the Russian National Guild of Chefs;
3. Vyacheslav Delberg brand-chef of "ARPIKOM", member of the Russian National Guild of Chefs;
4. Konstantin Zhbakov, the chef of the highest category, an expert on meat;
5. Kirill Martynenko, chief consultant, managing partner of the restaurant «Torro Grill», member of the Russian National Council of Culinary Guild of Chefs, senior lecturer of the School of Culinary Arts;
6. Erwin Peters, chef of the restaurant "El Gaucho", Member of the Board of the Russian National Culinary Guild of Chefs.

Participants were challenged to cook meals over a fire in 4 categories: fish, poultry, red meat, dessert. The results of the expert committee evaluated the cooks, composed of the organizers of the exhibition, the sponsor of the festival - the company Beefeater and chief editor of the magazine Fire & Food Elmar Fetcher.
According to the results of grade affixed judges all participants received award trophies, special stripe from the Russian Association Barbecue and gifts from the company "Euroexpo". Grand Prix of the festival won Kirill Martynenko, chief consultant, managing partner of the restaurant «Torro Grill», as well as a member of the Board of the Russian National Culinary Guild chef and teacher of the School of Higher Culinary Arts.
During the exhibition, visitors were able to visit the many workshops and taste the dishes prepared on the barbecue and grill.

On the final day of the exhibition a contest CUP BBQ media. In the contest for the preparation of culinary delights fought three teams: a team of RAPS, Radio Russia team and the team of the magazine "Rest in Russia" - "Smoked bosses."
At the end of the day competition ended with a solemn ceremony of awarding the participants. As a result of the ratings, first place, Gold Cup 2012 and Barbecue Media Cup Style BBQ team won with a total score of RAPS 477 points. With a margin of 70 points the team of the magazine "Rest in Russia" "Smoked chiefs" took second place. As a reward, the participants received the Silver Cup 2012 media BBQ and BBQ Friendship Cup. Finally, the third place Bronze Cup Barbecue Media Cup in 2012 and was awarded the Spirit of BBQ team RUSSIAN RADIO.
